• You are correct. The wattage they are stating is the battery backup portion. The less wattage drain on the battery , the longer the “run” time.

• Thank you for your inquiry. Yes the 255 watts rating is for the battery backup outlets. You would want to stay under that on the battery backup outlets so the UPS doesn't become overloaded.
