Do any of Apc's UPS devices have windings in the transformer that are made of copper? Mr. Carlson's lab just had one fail and disassembled it and you can't really solder Alluminum. These appear destined to fail and curious if any have copper. Thanks null

Using aluminum transformer windings doesn't make them inherently more unreliable than copper if they're designed properly.

If you have one of these devices that has a blown transformer, there's going to be a lot of other very serious damage to the unit, the transformer is going to be the least of your problems.

Unknown. These UPS's are more of an 'If Breaks, get a new one.' The only UPS's that I open up are Data Center level. Sorry.
