does your garage door opener plug into a normal electrical socket? if so, then yes.

Thank you for your interest in our products. It really depends on how much power the garage door pulls. You would want to keep the load under 900 watts so it doesn't overload the UPS. I would also make sure if you are installing the UPS in your garage that it doesn't get too hot as well. If the garage gets warm it can shorten the life span of the internal battery.
