“I use a regular desktop computer for my CNC machine and have had issues with what I think is power fluctuations in the power lines. I have noticed lights flickering but doesnt reset the computer. Will this UPS prevent these power fluctuations?”

This would protect your computer from the fluctuations you see and don’t see. I highly advise that all computers be connected to a surge protector/battery backup like this.

There is also a USB cable from the unit to your computer so that you can monitor status. It also allows the unit to gracefully power down the computer in a power outage when the battery get's low.

Most instructions for battery backups state DO NOT plug a laser printer, paper shredder, copier, space heater, vacuum cleaner, sump pump, or other large electrical device into the “Battery and Surge Protected Outlets.” The power demands of these devices will overload and possibly damage the unit.)
