I don't have the answer to this, just wanted to point out that it would be very difficult to accurately answer the question without prior knowledge of the power demands of said system. Perhaps the documentation of the security system has information about peak draw / usage. If it does, you should be able to do some comparison between peak draw and max output of UPS and get a ballpark idea.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just posted about this :). I have multiple items, from a NAS to a VR desktop plugged into mine and it reports a 20+ min run time if the power was to have an interruption. I purchased this UPS to hold long enough to gracefully shut down in the event of an outage. This fits the bill.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.that's entirely variable depending on how much load the security system places on the backup. To get a better answer, I believe APC / Schneider Electric has an online tool to help you select which model is best for you ( a UPS Selector ) and you can also chat with their support crew to get a good idea.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your question needs a lot more information than specifying what item will be connected. Power consumption of the home security system is necessary to understand how much run time you will have.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your inquiry. The amount of runtime you will have depends on the wattage draw of your security system and any other connected devices to the UPS. Below is a link to the runtime graph for this UPS. As a reference, on a 200W load you will get about 25 minutes. Thank you. http://www.apc.com/products/runtimegraph/runtime_graph.cfm?base_sku=BX1300G&chartSize=large
