• Any wall of outlet will work, cars can't produce enough energy to change it.

• Thank you for your inquiry on the SMT1500. Yes the unit would have regular power cord. It would have a NEMA 5-15 which most houses have. Unfortunately it does not have the ability to charge in a car.
