- Answer Well, assuming it supports the airplay/airdrop features/frequencies from apple then you should be able to. Both devices must be connected to the same WiFi network. The TV can be hardwired (Ethernet) into your router and it'll work the same as if it was connected wirelessly. I can't guarantee feature availability as I don't know what model of Samsung TV you have and if it is a smart tv or not. Hope this helps!

- Answer I can tell you as I have both. I purchase the 9th Gen to replace my 4th Gen due to the fact that the Gen 4 was starting to become unsupported, and wouldn't run some of my normal (favorite) apps, such as YouTube, AutoTrader, etc. It's not the 4th Gen it's self, it's the fact that the 4th Gen will not run the latest iPad IOS. Therefore can't run the apps designed for the latest IOS. This latest iPad blows the old Gen 4 away! There is no spec or aspect where the Gen 4 is superior.
