“I would like upgrade/buy my current Mac to a new one. When upgrading, is it the same way when upgrading an iPhone, it pulls it from the cloud? Also, does apple offers trading for? Thank you.”

I had a 2009 19 inch iMac. Loved it. Had upgraded iOS as many times as could but finally wasn’t supported. Couldn’t sync my iPhone or iPad. I recently purchased a 21in iMac. I can’t answer to the cloud I don’t use it I can answer to moving everything. I backed old one up with my passport. Then did it to new one. Everything moved perfectly. All my music my photos my documents everything. So happy. So easy.
