A:Answer There are so many options available for the iMac. If you're buying from Best Buy the best thing to do is read the description carefully and make sure it's the one you're looking for. Example, when we were looking for ours at the last sale they had the i3 and the i5 both on sale at the same price. Both configured the same 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD. We had to make sure we aren't getting the i3 version. The sales people on the floor will help you in this regard. In regard to your second question, The RAM and mass storage HDD or SSD are not easily user replaceable more like very difficult and you can really damage you iMac. So buy it with the specs you want out of the box. Depending on your usage. The 8GB RAM works fine for general day to day usage. You can use an external thunderbolt storage device to upgrade your storage for software and files. We run the Microsoft Office Suite as well as Quicken without issue. The reason I mention this is Apple charges a premium for both the RAM and storage upgrades so you may not need to spend more than you should.
