Are the pros better than the 3rd gen? null

In my opinion the AirPods 3 sound a little bit more clean than the pros.

yes. they offer active noise canceling and pass through audio as well as a customizable fit because of the 3 different sizes of silicon ear tips. the replaceable silicon eartips also have meshes build in so that the airpods themselves don't get earwax buildup. if you have enough money for them, I would highly recommend them.
