The best thing to do is ensure you have a cable modem and an internet provider that gives you a decent speed. For gaming, it’s best to have at least 100mbps internet. The AirPort Extreme bade station connects to your modem by Ethernet cable. Once connect to internet, then your Airport will be able to transmit incoming data wirelessly, which is Wi-Fi.
