They actually have a small battery inside. It’s not rechargeable but these batteries are supposed to last a long time.

No they do not need to be charged. The battery life is one year. So they do need to be changed out every year

No charging but Yes you can change the battery. apple claims one year battery life for each battery.

No, they use removable batteries that you can buy when the time comes but they are meant to last 1 year at a time.
