• No. Apple Pencil 1st gen(cap on end) works with every iPad BEFORE IPad Pro 2018(3rd gen). Apple Pencil 2(has a flat side) ONLY works with iPad Pro 2018 and newer.

• If in regards to the iPad Pro 11 inch, then yes. Otherwise only the iPad Pro 11 and iPad Pro 12.9 inch 3rd and 4th generations.
