Personally I would go with the 128gb. If you plan on keeping it for a good while then by getting the higher memory capacity you’ll have more room for updates and whatever else you need to store. The higher capacity would also be a good option if you’re planning on buying digital books for school.

You will fill 32Gb too fast, and will be constantly copying the videos off to another storage device. Backing up the videos is a great practice, but I assume the reason you want to record with the iPad is so they are always with you.
