• The answer is simple, No, a physical keyboard does not come with the iPad air 256gb gold. I had to buy a first generation pencil seperately. I had to buy a logitech keyboard that works perfectly and it further protects your ipad air investment. It also holds your 1st generation pencil. I recommend all three devices. They are all truly good products. Charles

• No, only on the touch pad screen. If you turn it horizontally, it easily functions as a qwerty keyboard.

• No it does not. Sorry BB but I purchased one online that is awesome & has backlit keys. The Apple keyboard does not have back lights.
