“Some asked something similar but don't think it's the same question I have. If i buy a phone outright/in full, no payments and buy it thru TMobile is this a locked or unlocked phone since I am buying from TMobile.”

If you buy from BestBuy, it's locked but you can ask to unlock after 45 days as per what T-Mobile told us.
