• The iPhone 5S for Verizon, just like the greater majority of Verizon LTE and XLTE phones, is unlocked. Which means you can change its SIM card out and use it most anywhere around the world with GSM cell phone providers, including in the United States (for grins and giggles, I popped a T-Mobile SIM card into my Verizon 5S and was able to use T-Mobile service.)
