Total Phone is part of tracphone, which uses multiple carriers for there different programs! Tracphone uses Verizon as the carrier for Total Wireless! But its through Tracphone. So not sure Verizon would be able to over ride Tracphone to activate a phone, even though it's on there network! You would have to call Verizon to find out if that was even possible.

If you are a Verizon customer now, you might consider switching to Total Wireless. The system works on the Verizon towers, has all the coverage of the Verizon network, for $36 a month. All you need is an unlocked Verizon phone like this one, Which comes with a Sim card for Total Wireless. Then, simply call Total Wireless activate the phone and if you like have your Verizon wireless telephone number ported over to Total Wireless. And the customer of theirs for five years, and love it. If you’re staying with Verizon, always get the IMEI number of the phone you’re going to purchase, call Verizon, and see if that phone is compatible with their system.
