• No down payment - but you will have to pay sales tax on entire purchase price when you obtain the phone.

• The only money you are asked to pay is taxes on the phone and AT&T may charge activation/upgrade fee of $25 but this charge goes on your phone bill. :)

• The down payment is the tax for the full cost of the phone. Since the phone is approximately $800 there is quite a bit. Also, if you have to pay anything on your old phone or for the upgrade, you will pay that at purchase. Plus I think an activation fee even if your already with AT&T (but not 100% sure one that). But be prepared to pay about $100 up front.

• Typically you pay the taxes at the time of purchase and can put as much towards phone as you would like. If you have a trade in you can use that towards the tax or accessories.
