I know if my iPhone 6 would've given me a trade in somewhere around $125. I don't think you'll get anything for a 5, but probably anything newer than a 6 will give you something. I suggest whatever you get, put towards the phone to lower your monthly fee. You can put down anything you want but it was nice to lower the 24 month one down to $32.
