Yes you can expand the storage but not the memory.

Yes, I found an external hard drive that is designed for it and is the same size and fits to the bottom of the Mac and even has a notch out for the power button. I now have 1tb for about $60. I saw one that had 8tb! But with the cloud I figured that to be way overkill. Works great and is awesome and fast!

You can either buy external storage or buy the more storage option.
