• Is he a DJ currently? some softwares are for windows some are for mac, see what he uses now. No point in buying a mac if he uses / used to windows. As for being a DJ anything will work, but if you want more power you go MB Pro, it is hard to gauge without knowing what software he will use, but i personally will start with a MBPro 13" for the increased ports
