A:Answer The touch bar is a interactive/changing screen (Along where the f1-f12 keys are) that will display certain functions for what program you're in, that you otherwise would never see, or have to navigate to the menu bar to access.
i5 for average loads: Homework, internet, banking, simple uses.
i7 for needed speed/power: Heavy workloads, Adobe, Design programs, CAD... The 15 inch pro with a gpu would be your best bet if you needed that kind of power.
You could also look at an i7 as future proofing. It would give you many more years of use than an i5. The ceiling is much higher in this regard.
