If you purchased a software program, go to the manufactures website and see if they have a download for your MacBook most do but they have a license for the amount of copies you can have. You may have to delete your HP download on their site to up load it to the Mac. If you’re hooked to cloud your items should back up and download along with the software. I just had to do this with Microsoft office. If you can’t find the download on their website go to the Apple store and see if there’s an app for the program. Your login information will not change in either case but make sure your cell number is registered so they can send you the authorization codes for security purposes when adding your new device.
