• Yes. I use it for school as well. I go for computer science - cyber security and it shows no sign of slowing down now. I plan on using it throughout my time at school. Hope this helps!

• Yes this model would be fine. My daughter is a sophomore biology major and she has this computer...only last years model.

• I think it would be a great college computer. Just be prepared to spend a ton of money on adapters because most technology isn't yet USBC compatible, and adapters break so easily. You may consider getting a computer that can connect to multiple outlet types.
