“Is this the 2018 or 2019 model? Is it the one with the severe thermal throttling issues?”

• If it’s the 8th gen i9 it should be 2018, if it’s 9th gen i9 it should be 2019. I purchased the 2018 model due to 800 discount, vs new with vega20 graphics and use it for work. I have had no problems at all and it’s used quite a bit Gets no where near as warm as my older 2011 model it replaced Best of luck
