Does this remote let u Control volume? Okay null

If controls the volume on the tv. When you turn off the Apple TV device with the remote, it will turn off the tv as well.

Yes and now it has a mute button unlike past generation remotes.

I use it to control volume on a Sony sound bar. Just need to make sure HDMI CEC is enabled on the audio device the Apple TV is connected to
