No. The pencil goes along the top or side depending on how you are using the iPad. There’s no specific compartment for the pencil

When you are using the ipad you can place it on top of the ipad Itself where it magnetically attaches and charges. Or, while you are using it and have it open, you can “rest” in on the keyboard as there’s small linear dent on top of the numbers. This dent is one of two is used to place the ipad at the desired angle. However, the keyboard does not have a pocket or a place to store it.
