As long as it's in the same iCould account yes you can!

If you “own” movies in iTunes then I’m pretty sure they just show up in your account on the Apple TV when you set it up and will play natively without your Mac being present. You can also set up multiple apple ids on the same Apple TV, so if others in your household have their own content you should be able to do that too, and just switch between users (which is just a toggle from the remote by doing a long press on the menu button)
