I have HDR10 on mine but when my internet connection is slower I noticed certain apps will select a lower quality. I’m not sure if this is 100% correct but when I wait a short time and try again it will populate to show the higher quality as it’s format.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First double check that your specific tv model supports HDR 10 on all HDMI inputs (not all TVs do that). Apple TV should automatically match frame rate and dynamic range of the content you’re watching, If your TV supports only HDR10 it should give you HDR. There may be a setting that sets a default. I had to experiment on one TV when I was a novice with the ATV, but don’t remember what I did, and I started out on tvOS 12.x and now it’s up to 15.x with new features and menu choices
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Apple TV does support HDR10 (and as you can see, Dolby Vision). Go into the Apple TV settings menu, Display and change it to 4K SDR. Then enable both Match Range and Match Rate. After this, shows that are HDR10 will display that way and Dolby Vision show will display in Dolby Vision automatically
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does. On this device it’s not called HDR10 it’s just HDR. They have it as 1080p HDR or 720p HDR
