“Can I disable dolby vision with Apple TV 4k? I currently use my Sony's netflix and disney plus apps. They automatically switch to Dolby Vision and I feel that the image is too dark. I prefer watching content on just regular 4K.”

You should,be able to manually set the appletv’s output to NOT use Dolby Vision, although if you then wanted it to use it for some services but not others you’d need to manually change modes in the settings, but that shouldn’t be that big of a deal. (My tv supports hdr10, and I have the AppleTV set to use sdr except when content is actually in hdr and the. It switches, but you can disable it completely)
