• AirPods do work with the Apple TV 4K -- just not as seamlessly as they do with other iDevices. They work like regular bluetooth headphones. No automatic, seamless pairing. You have to go sync them through the Settings app like you would any other bluetooth audio.

• You can use AirPods but remember you may have to turn your phones Bluetooth on and off and unpair completely. It sucks but I pair my older LG with just my TV and use my Jabras for my phone. But short answer is yes. You may just have to jump through hoops when connecting since they were meant mainly for your phone.
