Yes, you do need an Apple TV to mirror your phone to your Samsung tv.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know my samsung tv mirrors fine with my iPhone with no troubles. Only time it uses data is when I stream, no different than if I wasn’t mirroring. Its good for slid shows or presentations
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’d highly recommend it. I tried using the Allcast app, and the other Samsung for Apple recommended mirror apps. Got them to work once but. It took 3 minutes to load 4 seconds of video on a good day. Otherwise it wouldn’t load at all. Gave up and got an Apple 4k tv. Best thing I ever did, if you have an Apple phone, I really think you might enjoy it. Yes, it uses Bluetooth when mirroring, I don’t think you’re using data to mirror unless you’re looking at something that uses data on your phone. Additional charges to mirror shouldn’t apply.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The firestick does connect with other devices via Bluetooth. I can utilize both my Bose my wireless sound sports and my Bose hearphones . You do not need an Apple TV to cast from an iPhone to a tv that has a firestick. I am not sure if you are then using data for both the iPhone and the firestick. I have never checked on that.
