• The reason for the more GB is just Incase you like to download music, movies or tv shows the storage could fill up pretty quick. Otherwise they are the same units.

• Think of it like a cellphone connected to your tv. You need room if you want to download apps and games. Some games are over 1gig in size. Just means you can hold more like on your cell phone.
