Basically gpa you can get your calls etc but your phone has to be within a certain range. Cellular means you can leave your phone at home and go on a 10 mile run or more and still have your watch as a phone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The gps watch only receives calls, emails, texts, etc when it is close to your cell phone. It is then similar to the series 1 and 2. With the gps/cellular model, you actually activate a telephone line on the watch and it can work when you cell phone is not in your possession.

That is with Sprint. With cellular added you have the freedom to call text and use other apps. I hope this has helped in some way. Dora
