• GPS Requires phone to be able to use certain features, like accurate measurements, calling, messaging, etc. GPS CELLULAR does not need a phone to operate; letting you be free of carrying your phone for running, swimming, hiking, etc where a phone may be a drag

• With the 5 gps /cellular you pay your provider (e.g.Verizon)$10/ month and you can make phone calls on you watch regardless of where your cell phone is. For example, you could go out for a run, leave your phone at home and still make a phone call with the watch.
