That’s odd because after I posted the question I contacted Apple and they verified the model on sale at Best Buy and all series 5 stainless steel watches have sapphire faces standard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the front glass on all stainless steel cases is sapphire crystal. I have this same watch and it’s sapphire crystal front. Best Buy’s specs on this watch is wrong. Apple’s official spec sheet on the website says sapphire as well.
