Basically it will depend on how long you have had them and if you did or did not buy an extended warranty on them. My first pair had problems right away and because they were within the stores regular return time I just went in and they exchanged them. However I also bought an extended warranty, so that now if I have a problem I will have to deal with Apple I Care directly for repair/replacement.
