• If you loose an AirPod you have to purchase both it doesn’t cover just one.

• No it is not covered Apple does not cover lost AirPods you can buy the one you misplaced by calling tech support but you might as well just buy a new set

• no apple care does not cover if its lost or stolen. The only apple care that covers lost and theft is on iPhones and you have to buy the one that has that when you buy Apple care. dont forget most of apple care has high deductibles.
