• Yes. It runs on your home wifi, just like the camera. It takes two AA batteries, and can connect to your normal house mechanical doorbell.

• yes-it connects to your phone without the need to be hard wired. But if you hard wire it, you can connect it to your regular doorbell or chimes so they ring at the same time the App calls you
