• Yes, since it senses motion and notifies you. If you have any arlo pro camera paired with it you would talk through that since it has a microphone and speaker built in also.

• After buying and not being able to talk without bell being rung, I contacted Arlo, they state the non video model can only be activated when the doorbell is pressed. Guess I need to do more research other than using a forum.
