We’ve had issues with one battery not staying charged. Best Buy will not exchange for a new battery and Arlo wants to charge us $100.00 premier package to get a new battery and firmware update. Be very careful if you go with this system. They battery is supposed to stay charged for up to 3 months....no luck at our home and this particular camera doesn’t get much movement. Good Luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I’m getting 3-4 months on each battery including the ones in the cameras I have outside - and it’s been COLD this winter. Battery life does vary based on usage though. My driveway camera is motion triggered more often than my other 3 cameras and that battery will run down a little faster. Also - yes you can use an after market drive. I have a small Western Digital pocket drive plugged into the base station to store video.
