I'm sure it can but I have mine outside & the video & picture are great . A lil lag but I'm thinking it's my slow Internet .

No, these cameras although very clear and have many functions, depend on heat signatures that glass prevents. It is rare to find cameras that do what I call true motion through windows like my old samsung smart cam pro did. that being said I love these cameras for there clarity, cloud storage, multiple motion zones, package detection, and other but won't pick up motion detection through window to outside.

This won’t work at night bc the light on the camera and will reflect from the glass at night and you won’t be able to see anything.

Motion detection does not work through windows reliably. Arlo cameras use two different kinds of motion detection, and both types are inhibited by glass, especially windows.
