QuestionDo I need a subscription to view and record?

- Answer Technically NO, but you loose a lot of camera functions without a subscription. Without a subscription, your camera will record but it will record to a base station if you have one, your recordings will not go to your app feeds, so you cannot see your recordings from the app. I still have a pro 2 and those recordings show up on my app feed still ( no subscription), the pro 5s will not. Do some diligent research, before you buy.

- Answer Yes you can mix and match cameras. I currently have Arlo Pros (the very old ones @ 720p) + multiple Pro 4s, an Arlo wired doorbell and the Pro 5S 2k ALL on my original base - VMB4000. You do NOT need a base for the Pro 5S 2k - but I decided to use it rather than just adding it to WiFi.

- Answer You can place your Arlo camera a maximum of 300 feet (90 meters) from the SmartHub or Router. The maximum line-of-sight range of 300 feet is reduced by each wall, ceiling, or other major obstruction between the camera and SmartHub or Router.

QuestionIt appears that the user cannot delete multiple feeds at a time, i.e., from the list of individual feeds. Instead, each feed must be individually deleted using a three or four step process. Why does doesn't Arlo support multiple deletions? WASTE OF TIME

CVR allows you to rewind so you can catch anything you missed. When you have a CVR subscription, you can access either 14 or 30 days of continuous video recordings.

- Answer The Arlo Pro 5 can connect to any 2.4 or 5 GHz wireless connection, an Arlo Base Station is not required. Once connected, you can view the Arlo Pro 5 camera from your phone from anywhere
