• A:Answer The Arlo Pro 5 is compatible with any Arlo Smart Hub model VMB4000 and newer. However, it is not necessary to connect the Arlo Pro 5 to an Arlo Smart Hub. You can simply add the Arlo Pro 5 to your existing Arlo system by connecting it directly to your Wi-Fi network.

• A:Answer You can but this will not give you online access the view your videos. You can store to a thumb drive on the VMB 5000 but you have to remove the drive and put it in a pc to view it. Worthless without having to pay for a monthly plan.
