- Answer The Arlo Outdoor wireless camera came with it's own "home base" which acts like a modem. The App you load onto your computer OR cell phone works with the Home Base and Camera. Its a Netgear. You still need Internet Service as the Home Base is plugged into your internet modem.

QuestionNew google acct. will not recognize base unit.I had a security breach so I reset the base unit per Arlo instructions. My new Google acct. does not recognize this unit. It appears there is a problem with internet. Cannot get it worked out. Any suggestions?

- Answer Try using internet explorer (the blue "e") or firefox, or any other browser. If you can surf the internet, the problem would seem to be in the browser. If you have a smartphone, that's the easiest way to set the system up. It sounds like it was running before but now not, you can delete all the settings and devices down to the base. Then start anew and add all the stuff and re pair the cameras. I had the same problem and redoing "from scratch" made it all work fine again! Good luck! ;-)

- Answer You can specify a zone you want to monitor. You can move the motion detection area above ground level where your pet may run around. You can also lower the sensitivity of the motion detection to lessen any false-positives.

- Answer You can review the video for up to 7 days on a free app (we have I-phones), but beyond 7 days you have to pay a fee to have video storage which we opted not to use for now. Hope this helps!

- Answer There is sound with a different camera, you just have to purchase it separately. It's already included in one of the more expensive systems sold by this company.

- Answer The units are easy to move. The base is flat and has an input for a mount. They are also magnetic on the rear of the unit.

- Answer It records in intervals of 1 min and there are monthly fees. There's different packages like a low$ medium and high$ but nothing crazy I think we have the elite and it's only 14.99

- Answer There is no way to avoid pets, you can decrease the sensitivity to some extent but my cat trips the sensor every time.

- Answer It has no audio capabilities. I suggest Ring Stick Up camera. It has 2 way radio, water resistant, motion alerts, Rechargeable battery that last 6 to 12 months, unlimited 6 month cloud storage for $30/year and 720p HD. And for the front door there is Ring Doorbell.

- Answer The cameras do not have a recharge feature. Each camera uses 4 cr123 type batteries. I have had mine up and running for 2 months and the batteries still have 95% of life or better.
