“We have this through Suddenlink but do not get signal on our computers on the other side of our home. It actually does connect to phones and tablets We do not have a huge home. I see others saying it covers their home just fine. Any thoughts or solutions?”

You should probably look into a WiFi extender or two and place one at some point in the middle of the house between the router and your computer.
