QuestionI have a brand new 8300. I keep dropping the 2.4 Network. I had a brand new Netgear last week and also kept on dropping the 2.4 Network. Cox can see the modem online. I have had three techs at the house perform Factory resets no change.

QuestionI need a new modem that works with Cox.The only one I found that says is compatible is the Arris Surfboard TG1682 is $199. The Geek Squad tech that was here 2 weeks ago suggested another Arris Surfboard and the price was $169. Will it work with Cox?

QuestionWhat is the best modem/router for Spectrum and has a strong wifi coverage for my garage, as I have a pellet smoker on wifi and want to connect it also. My current modem/router is in my home office which is in the middle to the front of the house.

- Answer This router should work since it has 2.5 and 5.0 ghz signal options. Depends on how big your house is though. Most smokers don’t use a ton of data. I have a screw in light bulb cam about 90 feet from my router on the outside of my house and I’ve always been able to access the live feed. There’s a delay sometimes with notifications needing like 30 seconds to download a recording but still connects fine.

- Answer Hi Luna, Unfortunately this product will not work with Optical Tel. Our modems only work with Cable Internet Service, they are not compatible with Fiber or Telco service.
