I have comcast cable internet service. this product works well for that. You would need to be paying for the Internet service thru Comcast in order to have internet service, if you are only paying for phone service this will not work

Yes this will perform well with Comcast as well as other companies but you must have Comcast cable internet service in order to use it for your phone as well.

No it wouldn't, you will need an EMTA modem with a phone port
