We ditched cable TV and upped the internet. This was a huge help in doing so. We're getting great speeds, through copper and wifi. It's reliable and pretty much never goes down, except when I unplug it of course. The only disadvantage was the diffuculty of programming port forwarding for my home security camera system. It's a great piece!

I purchased the Motoral Surfboard to replace a D-link which was giving me a hard time with connection stability. I have Comcast so after connecting, it launched the Comcast web site and did the self install. Physically, the modem blends well with the setup surrounding and the lights are flashy. Connectivity wise, the speed did improve a great deal when running a network connection to four other consoles in the home. Initially there was a little difficulty getting stability amongst all consoles, however it was resolved and there are no current complaints regarding its ability to deliver good internet connection.

It's fast and saved me from spending $11 a month....we have computers and blu rays and phones that use this box and the old one was extra slow so when I got this one it was a real life savor and also it was very easy to setup

After look at the router this was the best buy for what we needed. It was the best price to. We told are friends about it and they went any brought to.

Well I paid 20 -30$ more compare to other sites. They are selling more cheaper. But overall I m satisfied with bestbuy. Bcoz I always like to purchase from bestbuy.

Looked up the product from other sites and found great reviews on this wireless N Cable modem and router. Best Buy price was higher than the competition but with the Price Match Guarantee. I was able to get the same price as the competitor and delivered to me on the same week I ordered it. Thank you very much.

Tired of paying my ISP to rent one of their modems. Lots of research and this one just kept coming up on top for me; reliable manufacturer, good reviews by others, ease of setup, built for the future with 8-up 4-down bonding. Works just like promised with never a hitch. My only complaint is, as others have mentioned, the lights are irritatingly bright; this I solved by mounting under my desk where it is out of sight. TIP 1: Make sure you purchase this "Retail Packaging - White". Don't try to save the few bucks buying the black version; all my research shows they are refurbished rentals from ISP providers and the common complaint is that they stop working about the time the warranty expires. TIP 2: Make sure your ISP supports the firmware. My cable company does not specifically show this model but it supports the same model two generations back - close enough. All I did was a Google search " modems supported by mediacom des moines" (my ISP, my city). Take the time to do your research. I did and I'm VERY happy (except for the irritating lights). TIP 3: One mis-notion: Just because this modem is "state-of-the-art" for home use, don't expect speed increases just by swapping modems. (Though my wife and I swear our pages load faster even though speed tests show the same up/down rates as before.) You have to up your internet package (dollars) to do this. One month update - as pleased today as the day I set it up. Never a bump or a glitch. Eight months and I'm as happy as the day I set it up! A year and a half - I'm still as happy as the day I set it up!

I bought this modem/router to replace the cable provided modem/router that was costing me $10.00 a month from Comcast. I don't know why I didn't do this almost four years ago when I first got my internet! This unit is faster and seems more reliable than the one offered from the cable company. It was really simple to install and change all of my wireless (7) and Ethernet (1) equipment. I have a Roku Stick and it is faster and works farther than from the original router. This modem/router is Great and will PAY FOR ITSELF in just about a year.

The product was just as we expected very reliable and fast. I would recommend it to any of my friends and family. The associates were very helpful while I was in the store. The product is also very attractive and they purchase was cost effective for us. We thought the price was very fair for the cost comparison to other stores.

I was in the market for a new router so I wouldn't have to pay my Internet service provider the $6/month rental fee, as well as utilize the Docsis 3.0 technology for upgraded Internet speeds. I compared this one with the others on their compatibility list and found this to be exactly what I needed. I am using it as a passthrough, but it seems like if I was to use it as my main router that it has some great functions (Wi-Fi, firewall, advanced features). It has been fast and reliable since I installed it, not crashing to date. Good deal!

I purchased this modem/router based on the overall positive reviews. The device is pretty good and my internet even seems faster. The instructions in the box are misleading and made me initially think that I wasn't going to be able to set up the network without a computer (we just have mobile phones, smart TVs & tablets in our home), but after a call to their exceptional and helpful technical support team, I quickly set it up using my mobile phone. Other than the manual, the only other downside is that I was expecting an increase in WiFi signal strength, but that turned out to not be the case. My devices rarely display more than a quarter of the signal strength when only 20-25 feet away.

Lighting hit my Comcast equipment. And after several trips to Comcast (all with hours of waiting in line) to get working equipment and being told my equipment was outdate. I was informed I would need to get a new single unit (gateway). This would result in faster Internet but also a $10. a month increase in my bill. My other choice was keep my current Internet speed but buy this. I found it online for a little bit lower than the Best Buy online price. I went in to Best Buy and found plenty of stock on the shelf (although the price reflected was higher than the online price by $50). The sales associate excepted my lowest price match without any hassles what so ever. I went home and hooked it right up. It was so easy I knew I had to have done something wrong. But nope-it really was just that easy. The longest part was having to call Comcast to have the unit tied into the Comcast Internet provider network. This unit increased my Internet speed tremendously while still keeping the cheapest Internet option from Comcast. And compared to the $8 a month Comcast would charge me for rental of their gateway plus the $10 increase in Internet speed I saved $18 a month. This will have paid for itself in a little over 6 months. We are very pleased with this unit and the "free" increase in Internet speed. I recommend it to anyone. We have had it for about 2months now with no problems with connection to the Internet or other issues.

I purchased this to use with my comcast connection as it was a 10$ per month charge for the equivalent company modem and router. The product is easy to set up and use and the initial password and all info required for the comcast tech to set up the connection is all on the bottom of the modem. The range of service is pretty decent and I have no problems with it thus far ( 5 weeks into use)

A solid choice for cable cutters (for TV). We use cable internet for streaming videos. At the mid-range of the cable speeds this does fine. This modem needs to be reset at times when Comcast does automatic updates once or twice a year. There is an admin web page for the modem, but it is not configurable by the user at least not many settings. For instance users can not update the firmware hence the Comcast updates. Ours works fine with an older gen AirPort Extreme. Well worth the cost to lose the monthly cable rental fee

I've had this router/modem for a month and I have not had to restart or do anything to get it to work it's just been working and doing it's job. Seems to be fast and set up was pretty much a breeze. I live in Massachusetts and this device works well with my Comcast/Xfinity service, my internet speed provided by Comcast is 25 Mbps and I feel I'm getting the speed from the device that my network is providing me, nothing bad to say about this unit so far. Plus I'm saving myself a $10.00 a month equipment rental fee from Comcast so after 13 months this unit will have paid for itself.

I had another modem for Internet usage at home but it gave up on me. The modem works really fast. It can handle all my devices at all times. Pro's: small in size, easy to connect and program. Con's: overheats, WiFi range is not as strong as used to.
